Ned Reynolds, Scott Puryear, and Art Hains kicked off their new Ozarks Legends series on The Starting Lineup with Jeff Tupper. The Joplin Parkwood powerhouse who helped lead the Bears to an undefeated 1980 Missouri Class 4A state title, starred for Barry Switzer’s Oklahoma Sooners, and was later drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals before suiting up for the Eagles and Broncos.
Tupper took listeners back to the Friday night lights of Parkwood’s glory days, where swagger met discipline and small-town pride fueled big-time football.
