Seneca High School Football is back on the biggest stage, and this time, they’re determined to finish the job. LISTEN TO THE WHOLE EPISODE HERE:
After two undefeated seasons ending in heartbreak, head coach Cody Hilbert and his battle-tested roster refuse to let history repeat itself. With a senior class that has grown up competing in big moments and a roster full of multi-sport athletes, Seneca enters championship week with a renewed edge. Hilbert emphasizes preparing his players for “high-leverage situations,” a philosophy that has shaped this program into one of Missouri’s toughest and most consistent contenders.
Their opponent, Lift for Life Academy, brings some of the most dynamic athletes in Missouri high school football, known for explosive scoring and elite speed. But Seneca counters with stars of their own, including standout running back Roman Miller, who continues to break records while embodying the selfless, team-first identity that fuels this squad.
With a new championship venue offering what Hilbert calls a “fresh start,” the Indians believe this could be the year everything aligns. Add in a community that packs stadiums, rallies behind its players, and turns every playoff game into a hometown event, and Seneca High School enters the Class 3 State Championship with both momentum and purpose.
Is this finally the season the Indians bring home the gold ball? Southwest Missouri will be watching!
