Ozarks Golf Hall of Fame: Legends Take the Spotlight at Rivercut
We’re stepping inside one of the biggest celebrations of golf in the Ozarks, as the Ozarks Area Golf Hall of Fame gets ready to welcome its newest class. In this episode, we sit down with longtime instructor Rick Grayson to talk about what this event really means, not just honoring the past, but investing in the future of the game through junior golf. Set for April 4th at Rivercut Golf Course, the day brings together players, stories, and a community that’s deeply rooted in the sport.
Swing into the full conversation with Rick Grayson here:
This year’s class features five standout names: Anne Cain, Christy Blasi, Mark McBride, Ky LaFoon, and Alan Rosen, all of whom left their mark in very different ways. We get into some of the stories that make this group unforgettable, including LaFoon’s reputation as both a competitor and a character, and Rosen’s impressive college career and lasting impact on the local golf scene. These aren’t just stats, they’re stories that shaped the game in this region.
We also zoom out with Grayson, who’s celebrating 50 years in the golf world, to talk about how the game has evolved. From the fundamentals that still matter to today’s biggest names, to what he’s seeing right now from players like Tiger Woods and Scottie Scheffler, it highlights how even at the highest level, the smallest details still make the difference.

The event itself starts with a 7:30 a.m. breakfast and induction ceremony, followed by a best-ball scramble and a ceremonial first tee shot, bringing together competition, recognition, and community in one place. It’s a day that celebrates where Ozarks golf has been, while continuing to build where it’s going next.
