One of the biggest topics in the interview centers around the Apex Center, Nixa’s year-old indoor turf facility that has quickly become the busiest building in the district. What started with skepticism has turned into a centerpiece for athletics, school activities, community events, and even academic testing. Clark also discusses the next wave of facility expansion plans, including future baseball and softball complexes, upgraded soccer and track venues, and continued investment in turf fields as schools across the region compete in what many now call the “facilities arms race.”
The conversation also highlights the incredible success Nixa is seeing this spring. From conference championships in track and field to top-ranked baseball and girls soccer programs, the Eagles continue producing elite athletes and college-level talent at an impressive rate. Clark points to a simple philosophy that fuels the culture across the district: “It doesn’t matter, get better.” As Nixa prepares for continued enrollment growth and future expansion, that mindset remains at the center of everything the program is building.
